COVID-19
Cambridgeshire Lakes is in an isolated location and each lodge is separated by some distance from the other lodges. However guests needs to satisfy themselves that any booking made is appropriate in the light of the current COVID-19 virus. To reassure you, each lodge undergoes a deep clean after every guest checks out, as well as fully draining and cleaning the hot tubs before refilling. Ample cleaning products are also provided in each lodge during your stay.
COVID-19 FAQs
Can’t travel due to lockdown or tiers?
Should a further travel ban be imposed which meant you couldn’t come and stay with us, you would need to check with your travel insurance to see if you would be covered. If not, we would try to be flexible by moving your booking to alternative dates where possible. Moving your break may result in you having to pay additional charges for dates at a different rate. If the transferred booking dates are cheaper, unfortunately no refund will be given. If you have made any payment already, you will be transferred to these new dates.
Can’t travel because one of my party has tested positive for Covid
If you or a member of your party tests positive for Covid-19, you would need to check your travel insurance as to whether this would be covered. If you are not covered by your travel insurance, we would be happy to offer a change of dates, subject to availability and payment of the difference of any increase in rental charge as a result. We may request proof that you have been infected before we move any booking.
Want to cancel as worried about catching Covid
We completely understand your apprehension to travel due to the possibility of coming into contact with Covid-19. However, our lodges are situated in a very rural secluded location and as self-catering accommodation, provide the perfect environment for social distancing. We also offer self-check-in, so you don’t need to come into contact with anyone on arrival. This means that if you chose to cancel, you will not be refunded, and it is unlikely you will be covered by your travel insurance.
Booking
Any booking made by telephone, internet and email require the immediate payment of the £100 deposit. Any person making the booking must be over 25 years old.
Deposit
A deposit of £100 of the total booking will be required when submitting the completed booking form. If booking within 8 weeks of the stay then full payment will be required. All payments are non-refundable. Once a deposit has been made you agree to all terms included. The name provided through the booking will be solely responsible for any breakages or damages caused during your stay.
Remainder of Balance
The remainder of the balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Failure to make payment before this date will result in your booking being cancelled and any deposit payments made not refunded.
Cancellations
Any cancellation made by the client for whatever the reason must be in writing. Once the booking has been confirmed the deposit becomes non-refundable. Cancellations should be notified immediately. If full payment has been made and we can re-let the lodge, 50% of the balance will be refunded. If the lodge is not re-let, no refund will be payable. Cambridgeshire Lakes strongly recommends that the Client takes out insurance against cancellation.
Arrival/Departure Times
Arrival after 3pm and departure before 11am on change over days please.

The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fixtures and fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as found at the beginning.
